A fresh approach to light-turning

The ability to cut with acceptable chip control at low feed rates and depths of cut is determined by insert edge-sharpness. A dull edge may cause burr formation or components out of tolerance.

The lowest feed rates demand sharpness, which is why ground inserts, in G- or E-tolerance are the first choice. E- tolerance inserts, available in GC1125 and GC1115, have not only the closest tolerance for correct centre height, but also the sharpest edges.
