Turning

Total sharp-edge offer

GC1115 completes a unique solution for turning HRSA materials and stainless steels. Its stronger, sharper edges provide closer component tolerances at lower cutting forces.

A good balance of toughness and wear resistance makes this grade also ideal for more unstable conditions and a high-performance complement to our existing PVD grades.

GC1105, GC1115 and GC1125 are a unique sharp-edge solution for ISO S and ISO M – optimized for the highest production security.

Green light production:
The machine is running at full capacity, making money and driving your business forward.

Typical applications

A grade chain to fit the needs of aerospace, medical and small part machining.

ISO S: roughing to super-finishing
First choice: GC1105.
Use GC1115 when stronger edge line is needed
ISO M: medium to super-finishing
First choice: GC1115, small to medium-sized components.
Use GC1125 for extra toughness

Machining conditions
Good
Continuous cuts. Pre-machined workpiece. Excellent component clamping. Small overhangs.
Average
Profiling cuts. Pre-machined workpiece. Forged or cast workpiece. Good component clamping.
Difficult
Interrupted cuts. Heavy cast or forged skin on workpiece. Poor component clamping.

A full tolerance range

Each PVD grade is available in three tolerance choices (M, G and E) which give a different edge sharpness.

E-tolerance inserts have the closest tolerance for correct centre height and also the sharpest edges.
