The CoroBore 825 family consists of shank boring tools for finish boring of diameters from 19 to 176.6 mm and modular shank boring tools for finish boring of diameters from 150 to 324.6 mm. The tools are suitable for conventional as well as back boring.
All tools have the same coupling design between cartridge and cross slide, with an elliptical male/female part taking up tangential forces and a face part taking up radial forces.
CoroBore 825 has a scale-disc and a vernier. When the scale-disc is turned one (1) division, the diameter is changed 0.01 mm. By using the vernier the diameter can be set to 0.002 mm.

Cartridge
Each boring range adapter offers two cartridge types;
| 1) | CoroTurn 107 (black in color) for CoroTurn 107 inserts with 7 degree clearance angles. Use CoroTurn 107 inserts for general boring and wiper solutions. |
| 2) | CoroTurn 107 (bronze in color) for CoroTurn TCMT 1103 inserts. |
| 3) | CoroTurn 111 (gold color) for CoroTurn 111 inserts with 11 degree clearance angles. Use CoroTurn 111 inserts when chip evacuation and chatter in smaller bores are encountered. |
Note! All cartridges have a 92 degree entering angle for clearance when reaching a shoulder.

Slide extension
There are three slide extensions, one for each cartridge size, with a male coupling on one and a female coupling on the other side. The slide extension is placed between the cartridge and cross slide to be able to utilize the whole stroke of the cross slide when back boring and to extend diameter ranges when boring forwards. All slide extensions are supplied with a clamping screw. All cartridges have triangular inserts and –2º lead angle. | |
