CoroMill® 316
With new exchangeable-
head coupling (EH)

The key to an end mill is what happens at the front end of the tool. That’s why we invented the exchangeable-head milling family with EH coupling, a unique interface between carbide head and tool shank.

The first to be launched is CoroMill 316. Versatile in the widest sense of the word, it can be applied in a multitude of milling operations covering varied and diverse application areas. The heads can be changed quickly without adjustment significantly shortening stop times while the patented interface ensures maximum stability and security.

CoroMill 316 covers 10-20 mm diameters on all material groups from ISO P to ISO S.

Aerospace

Difficult materials,
secure solutions

If you’re manufacturing for the aerospace industry, you don’t need to be told about the challenges you face – complex components, difficult materials and soaring demand. Our product research and development work done with customers at our aerospace Applications Centers has resulted in unique solutions to meet today’s needs for improved productivity, higher quality and increased capacity.

In 2009, Sandvik Coromant will launch a unique line of aerospace engine product and applicationpackages for HRSA and titanium.

Expertise for challenging production
Coromant Capto® C10
Makes the big picture even bigger

The Coromant Capto system set the standard for the industry, now that standard has grown a notch. C10 is a larger version of our classic Coromant Capto with a flange diameter of 100 mm.

This new larger size increases tool removal capacity and accuracy at heavy loads. Designed to increase removal capacity at higher torques, the C10 gives the entire tool set up higher bending strength.

The C10 includes basic holders and adaptors with extreme stability for turning or milling tools for extra demanding applications because it’s one thing to think big; it’s another to make it work on the shop floor.

The Coromant Capto C10 programme also includes a series of attachments that allow set-up combinations with C6 and C8 sizes.

Coromant Capto − more than just a tooling system

Coromant Capto is a registered trademark of the Sandvik group.

CoroMill® 360
One pass instead of two

The heavy-duty CoroMill 360 is a 60° face mill insert for heavy industry applications that demand the highest possible productivity.

With a cutting depth of up to 18 mm and an extremely high feed per tooth, the CoroMill 360 can boost your overall productivity more than you thought possible. In fact, the CoroMill 360 does in one pass what competing products do in two.

The CoroMill 360’s unique cassette solution with wedge clamped inserts make indexing of inserts easy. And the insert with its wide parallel land and strong edge geometry give good surface finish and predictabletool life.

CoroMill® 345
Getting it right
the first time

The CoroMill 345, for high performance face milling, is a new concept with the best cost efficiency on the market.

Equipped with an 8-edged insert and a unique design with fixed pocket and shim, it substantially increases feed rate for higher machine utilization and improved overall productivity.

Its 45° face provides soft cutting action that both keeps noise levels to a minimum and provides high precision for problem-free machining.

Green-light production

GC1115 - For peace of mind

In the last CoroPak (October, 2008), we introduced two Green Light Production grades for unmanned, trouble-free production - GC1515 and GC1125. Now, we’ve added a new member to the family, GC1115. GC1115 is designed for finishing to roughing in ISO-S and super-finishing to roughing in ISO-M.

Like its sisters, GC1115 keeps the green light on your machines lit longer with fewer tool changes and less down time. By combining the toughness and heat resistance of fine grain cemented carbide with the wear resistance of the oxide PVD coating, GC1115 reduces flaking and built-up edge while increasing production output and security.
